Have people been following Googles Neo 3 videos which are AI generated? The videos are so realistic right down to the expression on people faces. It generates all the voices and the backgrounds sounds. And this is just the tip of the iceberg for things to come. I don't see how this wouldn't be completely transformative to the movie industry.

Hollywood had strikes in 2023, and part of the fight was over how studios could use AI to replicate actors’ likenesses. But that debate already feels dated. With the ability to generate completely unique characters and voices, the real threat to the traditional model isn’t studios replacing actors — it’s anyone being able to make a movie from their basement.

Of course, people still love branding (you go, Tom Cruise), and plenty of folks distrust AI. Personally, I just want something entertaining that lets me escape for a while. Too much branding tends to break that illusion for me anyway.
