Day 8 - TeamLab Planets & Around- Tues Jul 2
DiverCity Plaza
Home to the giant Gundam statue with scheduled transformations.
It also has a really good food court. The food was better than some restaurants. And the dishes aren’t disposable. Aden had a cast iron hot plate for his meal. The counters have return areas for your plates when you are done.
Odaiba Seaside Park
Here you can see impressive views of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. And here you were thinking it was in New York.
teamLab Planets
Went to TeamLab Planets Tokyo today based on the advice of a friend. The best way to describe it would be an interactive art exhibit. It was pretty cool. I’ll post some pics but they really don’t do it justice as you really need to experience it to understand it.
You can color your own creature or flower then someone will scan it. Then you can watch it come alive. It will crawl over the floors and walls and interact with other creatures. It was pretty cool.
You can place items in the wall with magnets and they will become animated. Different objects do different things.
Long string of LEDs. You can control different light animations using an app on your phone.
Real orchids hanging from the ceiling and there are hundreds of them. They move up and down and surrounded by mirrors.
